World Comics Finland supports groups and individuals to express their views on social issues – especially those who lack the means to make their voices heard.

Our aim is to diminish inequality, advance the rights and prospects of minorities and to support social actors building more sustainable societies. We are a politically independent and non-religious human rights oriented organisation.

We offer free materials for organising Grassroots Comics workshops. These workshops help people turn their ideas into powerful, personal comics. No artistic skills are needed. More important than drawing skills is the message the comic artist wants to convey to the reader.

Grassroots Comics are simple, hand-drawn comics created by everyday people. They are a powerful tool for civic action, education, and community building.

We’ve developed this easy-to-use method that anyone can follow. It’s open source, low-threshold, and designed for local use.
